The Emirate of Dubai has adopted Resolution No. (3) of 2021 approving the Manual of Regulatory Procedures in Personal Status Matters in Dubai Courts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>The reason for the recent increase in divorce cases is that there are many reasons, including the high standard of living and the recent economic changes.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>What are the divorce procedures by mutual consent?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">UAE is characterized by its keen interest in marriage issues, family problems and divorce, so UAE is always working to develop controls and solutions to discuss divorce cases and their details through the Family Guidance Department of the Court before initiating divorce procedures. During this session, family problems and causes are discussed by each party and an attempt is made to reconcile between them. However, in case of impossible reconciliation, the case will be referred to court.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Therefore, the two parties must attend the family guidance sessions or appoint their representatives from the lawyers, such as the Emirates Egyptian International Law Office, and each party clarifies the reasons for the divorce and the approval is issued by the family counselor for an amicable divorce between the two parties.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong>What are the divorce laws in the UAE?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">According to the laws of UAE, if the husband is Muslim and the wife is not Muslim, Islamic law on marriage and divorce is applied. If the couple is not Muslim, they can apply for divorce in their home country or in UAE.
